A panel talk titled "Being a Woman in Today's Türkiye" was organised by Istanbul Kültür University Women and Social Research Unit (İKÜ-KAD) as a part of "8 March International Women's Day" events, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The event, in which İKÜ Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver and İKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe made the opening speeches, was also attended by Republican People's Party Bakırköy Mayor Candidate Dr. Ayşegül Ovalıoğlu. After the opening speeches, a panel talk was held in which former Minister of State of the Republic of Türkiye Önay Alpago and Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party İlay Aksoy were the speakers.
