5.3.1 Tracking Access Measures

Istanbul Kültür University systematically monitors the application, admission, and enrollment rates of female students. For this purpose, annual data are collected and analyzed by faculty. The data for the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 academic years demonstrate that women’s application and enrollment rates are regularly tracked and evaluated comparatively across faculties.

The collected data reveal a balanced distribution of female application and enrollment rates across the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Faculty of Art and Design. In the 2023–2024 period, the average female application rate exceeded 60%, with a similar trend observed in enrollment rates.

To ensure the sustainable monitoring of these processes, the Institutional Data Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Portal (TESLA) is actively utilized. Through the TESLA system, student data are classified by gender, department, faculty, class, and scholarship status, and periodic reports are generated. This digital system enables regular monitoring of women’s access to higher education, application trends, and enrollment rates, while the results are used to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement activities.

These measurements are used to support women’s access to higher education in line with the university’s gender equality approach. The data are regularly evaluated by academic units and the quality management office, and awareness or improvement actions are planned where necessary. Through this systematic process, the university develops data-driven policies to enhance women’s representation and participation in application and admission processes.
