Istanbul Kültür University carries out various access programs such as mentoring, scholarships, and career counseling to support women’s access to higher education and facilitate their participation in academic life.
Within the scope of the “Alumni Mentorship” program conducted during the 2023–2024 Academic Year, alumni and current students were brought together to provide guidance in career planning, professional development, and personal growth. Alumni mentors shared their experiences and offered individualized support to help students achieve their educational and career goals. The program lasted 5–8 months, and mentor–mentee pairings were made on a voluntary basis. More than 250 students benefited from this program, holding regular meetings with their mentors. This mentoring relationship contributed to enhancing students’ self-confidence, career readiness, and sense of belonging within the university community.

In addition to mentoring, the university implements scholarship programs that promote women’s equal access to educational opportunities. According to the 2023–2024 Academic Year data, a total of 12,913 students are enrolled at undergraduate and associate levels, and a significant proportion benefit from full or partial scholarships. Transparent and equitable criteria are applied within the scholarship system to ensure fair access for all students, including women.
Furthermore, the Career Counseling, Industry, and Alumni Relations Commission organizes activities that support students’ professional development and transition into the workforce. In 2023, the “Career Counseling Information Meeting” engaged more than 1,400 students, providing guidance on professional networking, resume preparation, interview techniques, and interaction with industry representatives.
These initiatives demonstrate Istanbul Kültür University’s systematic approach to enhancing women’s access to higher education, ensuring equal opportunities in career development, and strengthening women’s representation in academic life. Through these programs, the university aims to promote women’s active participation in learning processes and increase their post-graduation success.
