5.3.2 Policy for Women Applications and Entry

Istanbul Kültür University has institutional policies that ensure equal opportunities for women in the university’s application, admission, and participation processes. Admission to undergraduate and graduate programs is carried out in accordance with the exam results conducted by the Assessment, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and the decisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). These processes are based on the principles of reliability, impartiality, confidentiality, and scientific integrity. In line with the relevant regulations, measures are taken to guarantee equal opportunities for all applicants, and all procedures are conducted accordingly.

The university adheres to the fundamental principles defined in the Higher Education Law and the Law on the Assessment, Selection, and Placement Center, ensuring that no applicant is discriminated against based on gender, identity, or social status. Within this framework, mechanisms have been established to promote gender equality in higher education, and an inclusive approach is adopted in access and participation processes.

In addition, the university’s Gender Equality Policy ensures that women are not subjected to discrimination during application and registration processes at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This policy is implemented within the framework of the Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation and the Graduate Education and Examination Regulation, including measures that support women’s participation during registration.

In this context, Istanbul Kültür University continues to maintain sustainable and systematic practices aimed at ensuring equality for women in access, admission, and participation processes within the university.
